Granulating Watercolor Class With Artist And Instructor Larry Kownacki

NEAC will host a four-week granulating watercolor class taught by artist Larry
Kownacki. Granulating Watercolor is a natural process where heavy pigment particles
clump together and settle unevenly on paper, creating a grainy, speckled, or mottled
texture. Four stand-alone classes will be offered. Each class will consist of one hour of
demonstration and instruction, and one hour to complete an art piece. All supplies will
be provided; Material Kits will also be available for purchase for those who wish to
continue painting at home. The painting class will be held at the The Mellon Center, 16 W. Division St, North East on Wednesdays: October 21st, October 28th, November 11th and November 17th from 6:30-8:30. Cost is $30.00 per session or $80.00 for all four

Decorating Fall Themed Cookies With Dragonfly Sweets

A fall cookie decorating class, taught by Kim Chapman, owner and baker of Dragonfly
Sweets, will be offered on November 5th at the North East Arts Council. Attendees will
decorate and bring home the fall themed, decorated cookies while learning valuable
cookie decorating techniques. Cost will be $40.00 for members and $42 for nonmembers. Registration will be through Eventbrite. Questions can be answered by

The Art Of Mindful Zentangle

Our own Vanessa Mazza with be teaching a class in the art of Mindful Zentangle. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, meditative art method that uses repetitive, structured
patterns called “tangles” to create beautiful abstract images. Often described as “yoga
with a pen,” it helps lower stress, increase focus, and induce a calm flow state. This
class will take place at the North East Arts Council, 25 Vine Street at 6:00 on November
19th price is $15 for members and 18 for non-members. Registration will be through

Annual Natural Wreath Making Class

The North East Arts Council is happy to be having our annual Wreath Making event on
December 3rd at 6:00p.m. at the North East Arts Council. Attendees will make an allnatural pine wreath, complete with trimmings and bows. The attendees will learn
wreath making techniques and add their own spin to the finished product. Light
refreshments and a Christmas cocktail will be served. All supplies will be included. The
price is $25.00 for members and $27.00 for non-members. Reservations can be made

Yoga with Deb Phillips

Deborah Phillips yoga classes will resume at the North East Arts Council on November
7th at 9:30. No registration needed just come and enjoy! Class fee is $10.00

Clear Cut Stained Glass Studios Stained Glass Classes

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the copper foil (or Tiffany) method from the ground up, guided by live instruction from Ken & Casandra of Clear Cut Stained Glass Studio every step of the way. From safety procedures to mastering cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing touches, you’ll make a beautiful sun catcher to take home the same day! No experience required, all materials included.
