Creativity flourishes among the participants of Art Club, a FREE art instructional program offered by the North East Arts Council for 12 years. Kids' Art Club is open to school age children, instructed by Christine French, who has over 30 years experience teaching art and holds degrees in Fine Arts and sculpture. Each class is a lesson in different media and easily adaptable for different age groups. This program offers children valuable exposure to a range of media, technique and artists’ inspiration.When ? Session I meets from 4-5pm and Session II from 5:15-6:30pm.How do I register my child? Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Kids' Art Club for the 2011-2012 year is at capacity. Registration for the 2012-2013 year will be in August of 2012 - watch for an announcement in the North East News-Journal.Much of the artwork created by our young participants is too unique to not show off! Kids' Art Club culminates in a Kids' Gallery Show featuring the best works of every student from the year. This year's show will be Sunday June 10 from 3pm-4:30pm. Art Club is made possible by a grant from the Schuster Fund administered through Gannon University.
